Palestinian Nationals’ death toll during the Syrian Revolution … One Strife for freedom and self-determination
Palestinian refugees living in Syria participated in the Syrian revolution as they have together with the Syrian people one struggle for freedom and self-determination. They have participated effectively in pro-democracy demonstrations, and some of whom have been prominent paramedics and human aid activists, particularly in the city of Homs.
The Syrian regime have killed indiscriminately children and women both Syrians and Palestinians particularly in indiscriminate shelling where people were killed with no discrimination whatsoever to their religion, race or nationality.
Hard evidence of targeting Palestinians is that 5 out 85 Palestinians, who have been arrested, and tortured to death in regime detention facilities although they had been identified to be Palestinians by verifying their IDs.
Khamees Umar al-Hariri is a Palestinian national from Ar-Raml Aj-Janoubi in Lattakia. He had been arrested by political security forces, tortured to death and returned a dead body bearing marks of torture on 21/12/2012.
Muhammad Samir Abou Jumaa had been arrested in Tartous on 07/09/2012. He had been transported to Sednaya Prison where he had been tortured for months to be then returned a dead body bearing barbaric marks of torture on 09/05/2012.
Mahmoud Khaleel Fahd is a Palestinian from Ar-Raml Aj-Janoubi neighbourhood in Lattakia. He had been arrested, by political security forces, tortured to death to be then returned a dead body bearing marks of torture on 23/05/2012.
Abou Fahd Ja’far is a Palestinian living in Douma in Rural Damascus. He had been arrested, by military security personnel, tortured to death and returned a dead body bearing marks of torture on 14/07/2012.
Muhammad al-Masri is from Taseel town in Daraa. He had been arrested, by military security personnel, tortured to death and returned a dead body bearing marks of torture on 14/07/2012.
The Syrian regime security forces and army troops have killed 85 Palestinians since the beginning of the Syrian revolution to 14/07/2012.

SNHR & DCHRS hold the Syrian regime and all individuals complicit in acts of oppression and killings completely and directly responsible for these acts, implications and consequences thereof. SNHR and DCHRS call on the United Nations and the UN Security Council to swiftly take all necessary measures to protect civilians on Syria lands.
