Time: 01:00 pm
Circumstances: the regime’s army troops and security forces set up an ambush between the towns of al-Msaifra and al-Sahwa for Muhammad and Muhammad Hussein al-Sakarbeen who was driving the car. They were extra judicially executed with gunfire.
Eyewitnesses:
I, Raed Shafiq al-Rifa’e, my mother Siham, holder of family book No. 1202005918, from the village of Um Walad, born in Rural Daraa, living in al-Karak al-Sharqi, testify that on 14/03/2012, at 01:00 pm, while I was near a checkpoint stationed by Assad’s regime army troops and security forces between the towns of al-Sahwa and al-Msaifra in Rural Daraa, I saw a green car, Kia Make, coming from al-Sahwa town to al-Msaifra. Forces deployed at the checkpoint stopped the car, ordered passengers to get off and then opened live gunfire at them at point blank range, 1.5 metre. The two men were immediately killed. When they opened gunfire, I moved away so that they do not spot me. When the regime’s forces left the bodies and moved away, I came close to the bodies and identified them. They are Qassim Muhammad Ali Ali and Muhammad Hussein al-Sukkari. I called some people who transported the bodies to the town of al-Karak al-Sharqi where the victim has been born. It is worth mentioning that the victim was an activist since the beginning of the revolution. He participated in all anti-regime protests.
When asked about the incident, the victim’s father, Mohammad Ali Ali (born on 04-07-1955 to his mother Aisha), said his son Qassim was killed by security and army forces because he used to take part in anti-regime protests since the beginning of the revolution. He also used to work with the town’s revolutionists to defend the town’s people against the criminality of the regime. Hence, he wants to personally press charges against the Syrian regime for killing his son in cold blood. He further called on all human rights organizations to file a lawsuit against the Syrian regime at the International Criminal Court as he had not been able to file such a law suit in Syria against those who had killed his son.
