SYRIA: Human rights lawyers Catherine Altalli at risk of
torture
The lawyer and human rights advocate Catherine Altalli was
arrested in Berze (Damascus suburb) on Friday 13 May at 6 PM. She was abducted
by the security apparatus before being brought to an unknown place. Mrs Altalli is born in 1978. She graduated as
an attorney in 2007.
The EMHRN fears that Mrs. Catherine Altalli may be submitted
to ill treatments or torture. It urges the Syrian authorities to cease
arbitrary arrests and enforced disappearances, and to release all prisoners of
conscience, including all persons detained in relation with their participation
to the movement of peaceful protest
