The total number of martyrs from the armed rebels compared with the percentage of martyrs from civilians

Armed rebels (the free Syrian Army and other groups) are those groups of civilians who are able to bear arms, in addition to officers, non-commissioned Officers and dissidents soldiers whose joined to them, i.e., they are scattered groups who are united by one aim, but they need coordination and coherence between them.

Syrian network for human rights could documented the number of martyrs  from the armed rebels by the same standards used in documenting the number of martyrs from civilizes; taking with not less than two sources completely separate from each other and don’t know each other also, and taking with one of martyrs’ family member or their friends.

Syrian network for human rights provides you with 3048 names of martyrs (devoid of any repeat) in addition to the date, and place of martyrdom, video and photos of the situations of martyrdom. All of these can be found as soon as you open the following link.

Martyrs include 50 individuals who were arrested and tortured to death, and 138 individuals were executed after they laid down their arms and surrendered themselves. According to these situation,  forces loyal to the Syrian government had committed war crimes, so the forces of armed rebels treated them similarly, and executed a number of Syrian government soldiers in retaliation for their friends and in accordance with the principle of  reciprocity. This action  is convicted and represents as a war crime also.

Martyrs have been distributed according to the provinces as follows , whereas Idlib was in the first rank among all provinces, then Dara, Homs,  Rif Dimashque and other provinces.

Martyrs from armed rebels include number of doctors, engineers, teachers and various other professions and other specialties, as in the case of the martyrs from civilian rebels.

Syrian network for human rights encountered some martyrs from other nationalities whose had fought side by side with Syrian battalions. we could verify their  identity through communication with their friends of armed rebels because of the extreme difficulty of reach to their families. Their percentage is to exceed 0.002%  of the total  of martyrs rebels Syrian militants . we could documented that from 3048 of armed rebels, there were only 6 cases for fighters of other nationalities. In fact, the number may be larger than that but this number is what we documented by name and according to the standards of  the Syrian Network for Human Rights.

Although, the largest number of victims of the Syrian revolution is from civilians, and the proportion of the victims of the free Syrian Army equivalent to 0.06, in the other meaning, whenever a hundred of a civilian were killed, there were 6 people from the armed rebels were killed also.

(i.e., whenever one of the armed rebels was killed, there were 16 of civilians were killed)

Children have been killed by forces loyal to the government of Syrian  until the date of 05/02/2013 – the same date of documentation the total number of martyrs from armed rebels – were 4304 children, with margin of 1256 children.

While, women  have been killed by forces loyal to the government of Syrian  until the date of 05/02/2013 were at least 4057, with margin of 1009. this is a clear indication on the targeting of civilians.

The Syrian network for human rights doesn’t issue any statistics without providing all parties with attached files contains extremely accurate details for every case.

We would like to refer that this is what we documented and audited by the full name, the time, and the place. Also, we refer that there are various cases which we cannot document.
