As violence and systematic human rights abuses continue by the Syrian government regime’s forces. DCHRS documented in the month of January, 2014 a total of 2924 victims who were killed by regime’s forces and their loyal militias in addition of the armed groups. 75% of them were civilians reaching a total of 2184 victims; however the other 740 remaining victims were armed opposition forces and rebels accumulating a rate of 25% approximately.
ICSC and DCHRS Organize Workshop on Media and Transitional Justice
The International Coalition of Sites of Conscience, along with the Damascus Center for Human Rights Studies, a member in the ICSC, held a three-day workshop from 10-12 December 2013 for journalists working on issues related to Syria.
