Security forces<br \/>\ncut electricity, landlines, and mobile coverage before undertaking its attack<br \/>\non the city; furthermore, they have taken out water reservoirs on the tops of<br \/>\nbuilding by firing live bullets at them. Lack of food, water, and children&#8217;s<br \/>\nmilk are serious concerns for residents in Daraa.<span>&nbsp; <\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n&ldquo;The Syrian government is repeating the same actions and<br \/>\nresponses it undertook in 1982 during the Hama massacre. The government is<br \/>\ncollectively punishing Daraa and other cities that are protesting against<br \/>\nAssad&rsquo;s regime.&rdquo; said Radwan Ziadeh, Director of DCHRS.\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\nSecurity forces continue their attack on the city, snipers<br \/>\nhave been stationed on the rooftops of high buildings and are targeting any<br \/>\nmoving persons, and units composed of four-army forces have been using<br \/>\nanti-aircraft machine guns to target densely populated neighborhoods, such as<br \/>\nAl-Mahata and Daraa Al-Balad in the city of Daraa. &ldquo;Every single house around<br \/>\nthe Omari Mosque has been targeted&rdquo; said an eyewitness that DCHRS managed to<br \/>\ntalk with.\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\nAnother eyewitness in Daraa told DCHRS that army and security<br \/>\nofficers are preventing residents from leaving their homes or even from<br \/>\nremoving dead bodies from the streets. &ldquo;Dead bodies remain in the streets for<br \/>\nmore than 24 hours and then disappear.&rdquo;\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\nAuthorities strictly prevented the burial of any of the dead.<br \/>\n&ldquo;We had three refrigerated trucks, that were used for shipping food in and out<br \/>\nof Syria, in which we kept 80 bodies per truck, after three days security<br \/>\nforces took the trucks and returned them empty,&rdquo; he said.\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\nAccording to a very reliable source who works in the medical<br \/>\nfield in the Tishreen Military Hospital who spoke to DCHRS, on April 30<br \/>\nsecurity forces moved 182 civilian dead bodies from Daraa to the Tishreen<br \/>\nMilitary Hospital in Damascus. And on May 1, moved<span>&nbsp; <\/span>62 civilian dead bodies from Daraa to the<br \/>\nsame hospital. A total of 244 dead bodies within two days of which several were<br \/>\nchildren. The same source told DCHRS that the Tishreen Military Hospital has<br \/>\nreceived 81 bodies of soldiers and army officers, most of them killed by a<br \/>\ngunshot bullet to the back It is strongly suspected that these soldiers have<br \/>\nbeen killed for their refusal to shoot civilians.\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\nSecurity forces have arrested at least 700 people in the<br \/>\nlast ten days in Daraa. Armed security officers are storming every single house<br \/>\nin the city Daraa arresting all males between the ages of 18-45.
