Brother of rights activist held incommunicado

URGENT ACTION

Yassin Ziadeh, brother of exiled Syrian human rights
activist Radwan Ziadeh, has been held in incommunicado detention since his
arrest on 30 August in Daraya, near the capital Damascus. He is at risk of
torture and other ill-treatment and is likely to be a prisoner of conscience.

Mohammed Hasan al-Labwani has been held incommunicado since
his arrest by General Intelligence, commonly referred to as State Security, on
18 August in the town of al-Zabadani, near Damascus, Syria. His family fear for
his safety as he suffers from a serious medical condition. He is also at grave
risk of torture and other ill-treatment.

URGENT ACTION

Syrian human rights activist Mohamed Iyyad Tayyara
has been held incommunicado since his arrest from his flat in the city of Homs,
western Syria, on 28 August 2011. He is at serious risk of torture and other
ill-treatment.

On August 30 2011, the Air Force Intelligence, one of the
many security bodies active in Syria, arrested Mr. Yassine Ziadeh in the Damascus
area of Daraya. His whereabouts remained unknown at the time of publication.
Our organizations fear that he may be subjected to acts of ill treatment or
torture in the current intensification of the repression against the social
protest movement and their alleged supporters.
